Location:National Harbor, MarylandPOSITION SUMMARY:It is the primary responsibility of the Assistant Manager - National Market to assist the restaurant General Manager in overseeing the smooth operation of the restaurant and maintain high levels of service and excellence in customer service.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:Work performed in the restaurant may be crowded and noisy dimly lit and smoky.Ensure proper service and atmosphere for the guestMaintain the room in a clean and sanitary mannerDevelop and manage all employee trainingAssign stations and record attendanceRecommend and assist in the administration of disciplinary actionMonitor restaurant employees for correct service standards and customer service skillsAdministrative duties including payroll, forecasting, scheduling, vacation, days off, early outs, etc.Handle guest complaints and provide appropriate follow-up in an accurate and detailed mannerOrder supplies to ensure proper par levelsKnowledge of interdepartmental relations as relates to the restaurant operation and communicate appropriately when necessary to coordinate activities and/or correct problemsMonitor kitchen and server areas for cleanliness during service hoursEnsure employee compliance of all rules, regulations, policies and proceduresCounsel employees in violation of any rules, regulations, policies or proceduresInspect staff as to uniforms, cleanliness and identificationBe the example at all times for professionalism, diversity, and customer serviceMust have full knowledge of company diversity programMust have the ability to accomplish workplace goals through the use of the labor forceEnsure safe environment for all guestsMust be a self-motivated individual with excellent integrity and moral standardsAssist management in other matters as requestedEnsure a safe working environment for employeesPromote teamwork among employees and keep staff informed of procedural changesMust have great integrity and insure all company assets are protected and securedInsure compliance with all state and local laws regarding alcohol beverage serviceAssist manager in meeting all goals and directives of the departmentOther job related duties as requestedThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee in this position.
