Passion, innovation, and diversity are all key components to advancing our Mission and we encourage you to apply.YOUR POSITION WITH TNCThe Senior Corporate Engagement Advisor, Global Food and Water is a member of the Corporate Engagement team.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe Senior Corporate Engagement Advisor develops, implements, and coordinates corporate engagements that, by facilitating the integration of nature into business models, help direct private-sector economic, operational, and political influence in support of the Conservancy's conservation goals. They develop and implement strategies for engaging companies; coordinate and conduct outreach to companies; manage and support specific corporate engagements; conduct analysis and contribute to the Corporate Engagement team's functional priorities. They will work closely with members of the global Provide Food & Water team to advance the implementation of the Conservancy's regenerative foodscape strategy and related activities, supporting corporate participation in on-the-ground projects, regional consortia, and innovative investment concepts.RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPEDevelop relationships and work effectively with corporate and other external partners.Serve as relationship manager to specific corporations and support other engagements.Develop and implement corporate engagement strategies.Manage relationships and projects with minimal supervision.With a team, design and manage major meetings, including gatherings of corporate, government, and non-governmental representatives.Conduct research to inform the Corporate Engagement team's functional strategy and activities.Prepare and present project proposals and negotiate with external parties.Persuasively convey the mission of TNC to diverse groups who are critical to the Conservancy's overall strategies.Work in partnership with other organizations in a collaborative and advisory capacity.Develop constructive and effective working relationships inside and outside the Conservancy.Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures and external requirements.May supervise administrative and professional staff with responsibility for performance management, training and development.May include working within/managing a budget to complete projects, negotiating and contracting with vendors, assisting with budget development.May include fundraising activities.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in political science, environmental policy, business or related field and 6 years of senior management level experience in government relations, corporate sector, or equivalent combination of education/experience.Experience preparing and presenting project proposals and negotiating complex high profile or sensitive agreements or projects.Experience conceiving and implementing strategic initiatives.Fluency in English.Supervisory experience.Experience in a corporate environment with business development, banking, corporate social responsibility, or corporate sustainability (if required).Direct experience working with partners or government agencies.Project management experience including coordinating the work of other professionals inside and outside an organization.Experience with strategy development and implementation.Relationship building experience.Experience negotiating complex high profile or sensitive agreements.Experience with building written and verbal communication and presentation skills.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONSMaster's degree (MBA or other) appreciatedMulti-lingual skills and multi-cultural experience appreciated.Strong communication and presentation skills. Able to communicate professionally with a wide variety of people from different backgrounds and cultures.Experience presenting to and communicating with executive levels in a corporate setting.Experience in developing and executing sustainability programs within companies.Experience in or with the agriculture and food sector.Track record of success serving as a project manager on diverse, international, virtual teams.Experience preparing analyses to inform strategy decision making.Excellent team player with experience working in multi-disciplinary groups, using influence and interpersonal skills, listening, diplomacy and tact to build strong relationships with corporations, governments, partners, and all levels of staff.Project management experience including coordinating the work of other professionals inside and outside an organization.Experience working with partners/government agencies.Outstanding written and oral communication, negotiating and organizational skills.International experience and language skills.Strong basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, or the equivalent programs).APPLY NOWTo apply for job ID 50216, submit your materials online by using the Apply Now button at Need help applying?
