Role Title: Facility TechnicianLocation: Manassas, VirginiaRole Purpose:The Facilities Technician is responsible for day-to-day operations of the facility in a cost efficient, responsive, and proactive manner ensuring that service requests and work orders are completed in a timely manner. Initiates and manages maintenance, renovation, and remodeling projects ensuring policy compliance and quality control. Coordinates the assignment of building maintenance, engineering, custodial, landscaping, project management and other staff to correct maintenance deficiencies and to respond to facility-related business and emergencies.Core Competencies / Responsibilities:Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.Good communication and interpersonal skills excellent problem solving and decision making skills.Provides oversight and selection of sub contracted workResponsibilities include protecting PRTC's assets by monitoring facility security, yard condition, exterior lighting, and perimeter fencingManaging the inspection, maintenance and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systemsManage all building security needs, such as maintaining card access systems and security camera systemsBudget preparation and management experienceEstablish and communicate health and safety procedures in accordance with OSHA standards and company policies.Full technical knowledge of Facility systems and preventative maintenance practicesCollaborate and coordinate with management staff to ensure a smooth operationSupport development or improvement of existing and future facility projectsOther duties as requiredKnowledge and Experience:5+ years related work experienceKnowledgeable in facilities, utilities, and production infrastructure and environmental requirementsSelf-motivated and capable of working independently while managing multiple activitiesGood communication, organizational, problem solving, and listening skillsProficiency using Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, MSWordWorking Conditions:Occasionally work may be accomplished outdoors in extreme weather condition (hot/cold/etc.). Is frequently exposed to loud noises, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals in a ventilated maintenance shop.Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
