H&M is also a founding member of the ET&D Partnership, a collaborative industry partnership working to reduce fatalities, injuries, and illnesses in the construction industry is seeking a Foreman to join our team working out of our Chantilly, Virginia office.The Foreman is a first in-line supervisor and has extensive knowledge of the industry and the work involved, along with an ability to resolve problems with appropriate and timely decisions. He or she ensures that all work is installed and maintained in accordance with the Company's and Customer's requirements, including safety, quality and management.Major Job Elements:The Foreman consistently manages various project crews; assumes responsibility for effective performance and productivity of crews, and provides necessary training; assumes responsibility for adherence to Company and customer safety and quality guidelines; holds weekly safety meetings; provides regular feedback to installers and technicians; and implements formal corrective actions as needed.Communicates regularly with his or her Project Manager ensuring project deadlines and specifications are met.Fully completes all project paperwork accurately and on time (specifically time sheets, DWR's, material transfers, work orders, tool transfers, etc., as required).Ensures that safe work practices are followed by his/her crews.May work independently performing site surveys for estimates, proposal preparation or quality assurance.Manages successful job completion, ensuring productivity, job completion and compliance to project budget.Extensive knowledge of cable infrastructure installation (copper & fiber) and testing.Qualifications:Minimum of 6 years directly related experience, including supervision of crews of 10+ installers/technicians.Experience in Network Installations while working from blueprints and specifications.Must have a thorough understanding of EIA/ TIA Standards.Will have a thorough working knowledge of most widely used installation, termination and testing procedures along with the use of any associated hardware and equipment.BICSI Certification preferred/not required.Industry Certifications as plus. (ie CommScope, Hilti, Tyco, Panduit, etc.)Must be able to stoop, kneel, and crouch.Must be able to safely lift 50 pounds and carry 25 pounds.Must be able to climb ladders and perform the necessary work while on the ladder.Must have own tools.Overtime may be required. May be required to work varying shifts.Ability to travel to multiple job sites within the metropolitan DC area required.
