SummaryThe Construction Manager is responsible for the design and construction of the physical structures needed to conduct Lidl's daily operations, including stores, offices and special construction projects. This critical role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with required quality standards while also meeting the needs of the business.What You'll DoEstablish design parameters based on business needs and manage design process from concept through construction completionDemonstrate an ability to read, understand and apply standard to complex documents affecting real estate projects, including contracts, leases, work letters, drawings, etc.Prepare scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate & budget, cash flow, project schedules & milestones, quality control, and risk identificationInterface with internal and external stakeholders and lead a project team consisting of design consultants, general contractors, and internal departmentsManage full entitlement and due diligence processesManage and track progress to verify all work is compliant with plans, specifications, quality, and appearanceCreate KPI reports and communication updates to keep stakeholders informedConduct negotiations with manufacturers and suppliers in order to purchase targeted construction productsWhat You'll NeedBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar field2 - 5 years of experience in related fieldIn lieu of degree, 6+ years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed aboveUS Driver's LicenseProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and MS Project)Knowledge of construction means and methods, building codes, health and safety regulations and entitlement processesExcellent problem-solving skillsAbility to quickly and accurately assess situations and apply appropriate solutions as neededThis position requires domestic travel 50-75% of the timeWhat You'll ReceiveAt Lidl, we know that in order for our people to do their best, they must be at their best.
