We are looking for a professional line cook to prepare food to the exact chef's specifications and to set up stations for menu. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the executive chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our guest satisfaction and acquisition goals. Responsibilities: - Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies - Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff - Answer, report and follow executive chef's instructions - Sell top quality food while adhering to ticket times - Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards - Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests Skills: - Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line cook or prep cook - Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures - Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Schedule: 10 hour shift 8 hour shift Day shift Holidays Monday to Friday Night shift Weekend availability Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: Cooking: 1 year (Preferred) Restaurant Experience: 1 year (Preferred) Job Requirements:Maintain stock in kitchen and food prep areasEnsure all food on linePrepare food items prior to cookingOrganize food storage and kitchen equipmentPrepare food according to food handlers guidelinesGo into what a line cook be doing at the grillArrange food on serving dishesMaintaining, setting up, producing food and controlling quality of all food items prepared in the cook stationWork on a hot line and cold line stationsEnsure that the kitchen, all food prep areas and all food storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards/liPrepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards and presentation standardsPrepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklistComplete training hours as required by policyPrepare and cook basic food items in a cafeteria or restaurant environmentWork the line and cook all food items and meals in accordance with planned menus and recipes ensuring all meals and foodInspect all food sent from the kitchenMaintain designated food station(s)Assist in establishing food service production lineRotate among grill, saute, fry and cold food stationsWork in a team-oriented, high-volume, fast-paced, guest-centric environment to deliver Genuine Western Hospitality to guests
