Day to day responsibilities will include:Work on advising on the screening of new applicants, resident and building services, rent collection matters, etc.Advise on LITHC and Section 8 subsidy mattersDrafting and reviewing residential/AH lease forms, riders and related documents Draft and review a wide variety of property management agreements supporting the affordable housing teamManage outside counsel handling tenant litigation mattersProfileJD from a top US Law SchoolAdmission a US State Bar, ideally MD or DC5-8 years of experience with residential NYC real estate law gained at a law firm, in-house, or a combination of bothExperience dealing with regulatory agencies, understanding compliance with regulatory issues, low-income housing, rent stabilization, Section 8, LITHC and other tax benefitsExperience dealing with human rights organizations and complaints related to residential and low-income housing a plusJob OfferCompetitive base salaryBonusBenefitsExcellent working environmentOpportunity for growthJob Requirements:JD, 5+ years of experience with L&T law, LITHC, affordable housing, Section 8, etc. US State Bar
