If so, lets talk.Your Role and Responsibilities_Preferred location Washington DC and metro area, but could also consider New York area_+ Provide legal counsel, negotiation and transactional advice to IBM's Public Sector related to US state and local procurement transactions, quasi-governmental transactions, disputes, protests, terminations, company policies and procedures, organizational conflicts of interest, revolving door, supply chain compliance, audit matters, and other compliance matters+ Draft, review and negotiate a variety of IT-related agreements, including master agreements, professional services agreements, licensing agreements, statements of work, cloud agreements and SaaS agreements with IBM's State and local clients+ Support, educate and train internal sales teams+ Work with internal stakeholders, eg, finance, accounting, operations, product development, to structure and resolve contract issues+ Assist with cyber and privacy matters+ Assist in compliance matters+ Provide day-to-day legal advice and counsel on variety of matters as neededRequired Technical and Professional ExpertiseJD from accredited law schoolLicense to practice law in a US jurisdictionExperienced lawyer, with 5+ years of experience, either in-house, law firm or bothExperience negotiating complex IT transactions, including cloud, analytics, software, hardware, and consulting services transactions with public sector clientsExperience negotiating terms around intellectual property and data securityStrong analytic skills and abilityEffective communication skills (both in writing and verbally)Proven ability to work as part of a team with both business and other legal professionals; positive attitudeDemonstrated business judgment and ability to prioritize in fast-paced environmentPreferred Technical and Professional ExpertiseExperience dealing with sell-side revenue transactions and supporting a sales organizationFamiliarity working with US Federal clientsFamiliarity supporting data and cyber security mattersFamiliarity with data privacy lawsFamiliarity with leasing and financing aspects of sales transactionsAbout Business UnitIBM Corporate Headquarters (CHQ) team represents a variety of functions such as marketing, finance, legal, operations, HR, and more, all working together to solve some of the world's most complex problems, help our clients achieve success and build collaborative work environments for IBMers.Your Life @ IBMWhat matters to you when you're looking for your next career challenge?Maybe you want to get involved in work that really changes the world?
