Performs a variety of both routine and complex clinical laboratory tests in accordance with established standards and procedures. These require a professional level of knowledge to properly execute and analyze results, especially where results are abnormal or atypical. Specific duties may vary according to laboratory and shift assignedFull Time, Day Shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Weekend Work Required Work Location: Johns Hopkins - Pathology - 1800 Orleans St., Baltimore, MD 21287Education: Work requires formal educational background in chemistry, hematology, immunohematology and microbiology normally acquired through completion of a two or four year post-secondary school program in clinical laboratory technology/medical technology and/or equivalent education and training in microbiology, chemistry, hematology, immunohematology, or related field.Licensure, Certification, Etc.: Certification in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science, MLT/MT/MLS, ASCP or a nationally recognized professional organization is preferred.Work Experience: Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology internship or (one year) equivalent clinical lab experience or course work specific to the discipline. This role is intended for individuals with less than 2 years of experience and for all BS/MT and equivalent degree candidates without the equivalent certification/registration.
