83077BRTitle:Regional Trade Specialist - Philadelphia, PA/New JerseyBusiness:US - GTS - IC State/Country/Province:Maryland No. of Positions:1Job Description: As a REGIONAL TRADE SPECIALIST you will be THE consultative and value-added sales partner to the largest Jobsites, C ontractors and Trade Associations within the region . You will lead and orchestrate the local and regional effort s to forge value added and service-oriented relationships in order to generate a preference for Stanley Black and Decker products and services. This role will be responsible for working directly with Trade Contractors to drive awareness, conviction, conversion, and loyalty by understanding a broad range of products, applications, and distributor models to effectively determine what products best fits the needs of Contractor from their Boardroom to their Tool Room while meeting regional sales growth targets.? What You Will Be Doing Sales & Client Engagement + Identifies, evaluates, and pursues business opportunities with current and potential customers through the use of regional data analytics and commercial construction tracking across the West Coast/Northwest region. + Drive Contractor engagement through strategic planning sessions, jobsite calls, office calls and involvement with local SBD market teams + Responsible for maintaining close relationship s with existing users as well as key potential customers. + Develops demand and sales of products and services by investigating and resolving contractor problems and recommend ing modifications to the product/service line . + Responsible for meeting target metrics and standards for activity, such as number of calls, new product introductions, training events and product submittals + Collaborate with Local Market Teams to ensure proper follow up on leads to produce sales growth Systems Proficiency + Maintain and use SalesForce.com as a CRM and Planning tool. Communicate successes and failures in a timely fashion to develop a more streamlined process . Leadership & Communication + Be the Trade Expert within the assigned Region : Teach and mentor your local market team s on the needs of the Contractors within your assigned Trade, what products they use, what product features are critical to their buying decision, how they execute the purchasing process (central and facility), and how to expand their engagement across all available SBD Brands. What You Bring To The SBD Team ? + Bachelor's Degree required (Business Management or Engineering preferred) + Commercial Jobsite and Construction Knowledge required . + Understanding of building specifications , submittal processes and project delivery methods preferred . + Minimum 10 years of direct sales or distribution sales experience to include experience selling to high-level executives, C-Suite, and jobsite directors. + Capability to meld empathy with a rock-hard determination to achieve outstanding results. + Must have the ability to build relationships and work effectively with all levels of an organization to drive strategy, influence owners and generate revenue . + Exhibit a thorough knowledge of managing and executing a budget for your region to stay within the developed forecast and allocation. + Ability to use Data analytics to build a sound business plan for the growth of your assigned trade within the Southeast region and to deliver sustainable growth for SBD + Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite , Salesforce/CRM software and use of a smartphone + Proven track record delivering positive results with a strong desire to win are a must. + Demonstrate time management skills, ability to set priorities and self-motivation is required #LI-SB2 All qualified applicants to Stanley Black & Decker are considered for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran's status or any other protected characteristic.
