Come be a part of our team, today! The Mechanical Preconstruction Executive serves in a client- and company-facing role in Project Development to shape upcoming projects. Responsibilities Interface with and provide guidance to Clients, Design Partners, and Clark teams on mechanical systems, products, and materials from both cost and performance standpoints. Identify performance enhancement and cost savings recommendations through review of design criteria, technical reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications for mechanical systems. Support conceptual estimating, estimating, and purchasing efforts through executive-level review of internal scope sheets and estimates for mechanical systems. Interface with trade partners, suppliers, and vendors to maintain superior technical knowledge; overlay with Clark s internal cost database to cultivate awareness of market trends at system and element levels. Periodically engage with Project Delivery teams as an onsite trusted advisor and in the event of technical challenges. Work closely with Electrical Preconstruction Executive and company leadership to provide high quality, value-add services to our Clients--maintain budget reliability, highlight market and technical knowledge, select the best design solutions, and reinforce Clark s reputation as a trusted advisor Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Strong communication skills Proven leadership experience Strong network of industry and discipline relationships -- designers, subcontractors, manufacturers, etc. Working technical knowledge of mechanical systems for commercial, healthcare, mutli-family high rise residential, institutional, and government projects Substantial professional experience in mechanical systems design including power distribution, lighting, and low voltage systems Working knowledge of applicable design standards, building codes, and specifications Familiar with local jurisdictional permitting and approval requirements Ability to perform and quickly evaluate load calculations Licensed Professional Engineering (PE) or willingness to sit for exam Equal Opportunity Employer: Clark Construction Group, LLC, (subsidiaries and affiliates) is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
