Senior Tax Accountant (Chevy Chase, MD)
**Overview**The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for preparation of complex income tax provisions and income/franchise tax returns. The Senior Tax Accountant must effectively interact with all levels of management and experienced advisors, both within and outside the corporation, who come from a variety of different managerial disciplines and backgrounds. This position also supports tax management in audit controversy and tax planning. This position requires an ability to work independently with limited day-to- day supervision.**Responsibilities RESPONSIBILITIES:**+ Assist with the preparation of complex quarterly and year-end domestic income tax provisions, along with statutory work papers (FAS 109, FIN 48, FIN 18, and Sarbanes Oxley 404)+ Prepare complex consolidated corporate income/ franchise and non-income tax returns, extensions, estimated payments, and supporting work papers+ Support audits and planning+ Assist in implementing improvements to the tax function to ensure compliance with current laws+ Assist in coordination and directing inter-departmental and inter-entity reporting of tax-related activities+ Keep abreast of tax law changes and research tax issues+ Participate in special projects as requested**Qualifications POSITION REQUIREMENTS:**+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or tax+ 3 years tax experience "Big 4" or large corporate tax department experience preferred+ CPA preferred+ Strong federal and state corporate tax compliance experience+ Strong working knowledge of tax research and reporting software (such as RIA, BNA, CCH, One Source Tax Provision, Once Source Income Tax, One Source State Apportionment) preferred+ MS Office Suite required+ Excellent written, verbal, project management, analytical,organizational, and interpersonal skills\#LI-SD1**Job Locations** _US-MD-Chevy Chase_**ID** _2021-1875_**Category** _Finance/Accounting_**Type** _Regular Full-Time_Equal Opportunity EmployerPacWest Bancorp and its affiliates are fully committed to the principles of equal opportunity and diversity.
