The Accountant/Bookkeeper is responsible for supporting the overall accounting operations of the community, including management support and food and beverage. The Accountant/Bookkeeper is responsible for monitoring and maintaining payroll general ledger accounts. The Accountant/Bookkeeper provides management with financial information by inputting, researching and analyzing accounts; preparing financial and purchase order statements. The creation of financial transactions includes posting information to accounting journals or accounting software from such source documents as invoices to customers, cash receipts, and supplier invoices. Must prepare invoices from association as well as food and beverage to run through A/P systems: Strongroom. The Accountant/Bookkeeper also reconciles accounts to ensure their accuracy. Must possess general work-related skills at a higher level, including written and verbal communications skills, computational and computer skills, and mathematics knowledge. Ability to prepare more complex documents in Microsoft Excel, including creating tables, charts, graphs, and other elements to analyze data, including the use of formulas, functions, lookup tables and other standard spreadsheet elements. Performs other duties as assigned.Essential Job Functions:+ Assist in processing payroll in a timely manner.+ Ensure that receivables are collected promptly.+ Conduct a monthly reconciliation of every bank account.+ Calculate and issue financial analysis of the financial statements.+ Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information.+ Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes.+ Record cash receipts and make bank deposits.+ Perform general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts.+ Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.+ Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.+ Collect sales tax from customers and remit them to the government.+ Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.+ Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.+ Prepares payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts.+ Prepares monthly consolidated financial statements including balance sheet, monthly P statements, and membership financials.+ Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:+ 401(k)+ 401(k) matching+ Dental insurance+ Health insurance+ Paid time off+ Vision insuranceSchedule:+ 8 hour shift+ Monday to FridayApplication Question(s):+ What are your salary requirements?Education:+ Bachelor's (Preferred)Experience:+ GAAP: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location:+ One locationWork Remotely:+ NoPowered by JazzHR
