As a subsidiary of NFP Corp, we also have access to extensive corporate resources and business partners that few other independent firms offer.Position OverviewThis is an ideal growth opportunity for a candidate with 1-4 years of advisory support experience or a new grad with a degree/certificate in financial planning.Our Advisor Associates works directly with Advisors to assist with the wealth management and financial planning needs of clients. This position is responsible for providing support to Advisors including data gathering, case design, scenario building, financial plan development, financial plan application, and portfolio implementation.ResponsibilitiesProvide support to Advisors in all areas of financial planningInitiate and field client calls on various items (eg, strategy ideas, account-specific questions, portfolio inquiries, etc.)Create proposals for prospective clientsCreate and/or update financial plans for clientsPrepare materials for client meetings; work with other internal teams to ensure client meetings are prepared for thoroughly and accuratelyAttend client meetings and manage/complete all meeting follow-up activitiesLiaise with client's attorneys and accountants as neededMonitor portfolios and maintain portfolio target allocations. Rebalance portfolios as neededAssist with client data consolidation and maintenance as neededAssist with special projects as requiredQualificationsOne to four years of relevant experience preferredA degree with a focus in Certified Financial Planning and related internships will be considered in lieu of years of experienceCompleted or pursuing CFP(R), CFA preferredBachelors' degree or higher from an accredited university; major in financial planning, business, accounting, finance, economics, or law preferred.Series 65 required or able to obtain within three months of hireContinuously exhibits personal integrity and professional initiativeReliable, follows through on commitments, self-starter when it comes to new challengesMust be organized, detail-oriented and able to manage and prioritize tasksDemonstrates a commitment to accuracy by delivering high-quality workExcellent written and verbal communicationCollaborative and able to work effectively with othersFlexible team player who is highly adaptable to change and open to new ideasDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite requiredExperience with any CRM, portfolio management or financial planning software is preferredWhat We OfferNFP is proud to offer a competitive salary, PTO & paid holidays, 401(k) with match, exclusive discount programs, health & wellness programs, and more.
