The Dietary Aideassists in preparing the dining areas for meals and ensures the residents' needs are being met during meal times. The position offers opportunities to learn food safety and food preparation techniques.Detailed Description:Catholic Charities of Baltimore is current seeking a Dietary Aide who provides assistance in all dietary functions as directed by the Director of Nutritional Services in accordance with established policies and procedures. Schedule:10a-2pm with a few 4p-8p shifts. Ability to work every other weekendCore Responsibilities:Prepare food under the direction of Cook I/Cook II.Follow safety regulations as directed.Assist in accurate preparation of tray ensuring that tray contents match ticket.Serve food in accordance with the established portion control procedures.Deliver food carts, trays, etc. to units as instructed.Prepare and deliver snacks, nourishments, etc. as instructed.Assist in kitchen clean-up, dishwashing procedures and all assigned cleaning, etc. as directed.Maintain food storage areas, walk-in, freezer and refrigerators in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times.Qualifications/Requirements:Ability to read, write and follow instructions.Ability to stand for long periods of time and work in a very warm atmosphere.Must be able to move intermittently throughout the facility.Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations.Requires intermittent sitting, standing, bending, pushing and lifting.Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.Catholic Charities offers a competitive salary and benefits program.
