Commercial Credit Analyst - To 80K
The PositionOur bank client is seeking to fill a Commercial Credit Analyst role in the Baltimore, MD market. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and monitoring the credit worthiness of the business clientele. The candidate will analyze financial statements, tax returns, credit bureau reports, cash flow and bank references to evaluate the financial condition of individuals and businesses applying for credit.The position includes a salary of up to $80K and an excellent benefits package. (This is a partially remote position).Commercial Credit Analyst responsibilities include: Obtaining loan request information from commercial lender or borrower to analyze credit information, financial statements, and other related information pertaining to extensions of credit. Financial statement collection of maturing loans and annual reviews. Analyzing financial information and prepares the preliminary analysis for the lender. Researching background documentation and reviews personal and business financial statements and tax returns. Reviewing and preparing written analysis, spreadsheets, reports, summaries, and opinions. Preparing and assisting in the preparation of loan memorandum for presentation to loan committee, and/or board review. Requesting and obtaining financial statements on existing borrowers. Assisting lenders with calls on past due loans as assigned by the senior management with the loan portfolio. Assisting with preparation for exams, audits, etc. Initiating changes to current risk ratings based on the company's financial performance and/or continuous monitoring guidelines after discussion with Lender. Generating correspondence to the member to facilitate the collection of required financial information. Collateral Release Approval - authority to approve release when the note is paid in full. Discussing request with Lender to determine approval when there is an outstanding balance. Performing other duties and special projects as assigned. Three or more years of banking or credit union experience required. Analysis experience with various industries - CRE, C, and hotels. Practical working knowledge of financial statement analysis. Thorough knowledge of federal and state banking regulations. Must possess attention to detail, accuracy in work performed, and can multi-task while maintaining focus.
