If this sounds like the choice you want to make, then choose MITRE-and make a difference with us. The Enterprise Intelligence Systems Division is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer. You will be a member of the MITRE team working in a multi-agency environment developing, collaborating, and implementing cyber security initiatives and policy across the 18 Intelligence Community agencies. You will support the decision makers of our nation's intelligence organizations. The ideal candidate demonstrates the ability to explain and implement the best of technology implementation practices found in the government, public, and private sectors while being an objective, informed partner for government leaders who rely on MITRE's insight and expertise to advance the government's interests in the information technology policy domain.Responsibilities include:+ Help government leaders define their vision to determine the direction of change through a period of intelligence transformation.+ Assist government sponsors, providing end-to-end technical analysis of process, systems, and mission performance, and analyze contractor design materials.+ Provide technical and strategic advice to support IC and DoD technology implementation objectives.+ Develop and deliver applied technology strategies for senior government leaders and IC component partners.+ Identify IT capability investment opportunities to advance US government mission.+ Support certification, authorization, and implementation processes for IC IT solutions.+ Perform peer review of products to ensure MITRE is advancing the state of the practice in work products, ranging from technical implementation to leadership and strategy efforts.+ Collaborate with Government, MITRE Team members and collegially work with other support contractor team members to bring them along to your vision.Required Qualifications:+ Active Top Secret/SCI with polygraph+ Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or related discipline.+ Understanding of principles of systems engineering and approaches for evidence-driven decision making.+ Demonstrated proficiency and strength in verbal, written, presentation, and communications skills.+ Experience in providing unbiased advice, formulating courses of action, analyzing programs, and making recommendations across a wide spectrum of issues.+ Experience in transforming business process design/improvement and applied technical concepts into comprehensive strategy development.Preferred Qualifications: + Advanced Systems Engineering technical degree or related technical field of study.+ 10 plus years of experience with technical assessments of systems, technologies, and/or processes to align with business, mission, or project strategies and outcomes.+ Active Top Secret/SCI with polygraph+ Knowledge of Intelligence Community and DoD domains.+ Experience leading working groups and collaborate with cyber security and policy professionals across the government and private industry.+ Experience working with senior government decision makers and sponsors as a trusted adviser in leading major initiatives, technical challenges, and priorities.
