Start hereSenior Accountant - Revenue/Financial ReportingPosition SummaryThe Senior Accountant will maintain full ownership of the Development Revenue PSR Calculation and ensure that the development revenue is in accordance with ASC 606 and will lead the month-end closing and reporting processes for Catalent Maryland, submit full Balance Sheet and P for Catalent Maryland entities into Hyperion on a monthly basis, and Serve as audit liaison and key Catalent Maryland contact for both internal and external audits.The Role (daily responsibilities)Maintaining full ownership for the Development Revenue PSR calculationMaintaining a working knowledge of Catalent financial reporting policies and US GAAP, especially as it relates to ASC 606, development revenue, contract assets, and related mattersAssisting the Associate Director of Revenue in the recognition of commercial revenue and cost of sales in accordance with US GAAPAssisting the Associate Director of Revenue in the review of all development and commercial agreements for the followingSupporting Internal and External Audits by providing documentation as requested for controls and substantive testingLead the month-end closing and reporting processes for Catalent Maryland which includes liaising with Corporate Controllership and Consolidations on attending quarterly controllership meetings, communicating the corporate closing calendar, and lead the closing process locallyRecord journal entries and accrualsReconcile several balance sheet accounts, record adjustments, and ensure ending balance is in accordance with US GAAPPerform completeness review of all balance sheet accounts to ensure that all balance sheet owners and reviewers have completed their reconciliationsConsolidate the journal entries and ensure that all journal entries have been reviewed and approvedSubmit full Balance Sheet and P for Catalent Maryland entities into Hyperion on a monthly basisComplete timely and accurate financial reporting packagesThe Candidate (requirements)Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA strongly preferred6+ years experience in a combination of public accounting or public company experienceStrong research & analytical skillsIntermediate to expert Excel skillsAbility to work in fast-paced environment with firm deadlinesHigh attention to detailStrong communication (verbal and writing) skillsPosition BenefitsDiverse, inclusive cultureCompetitive salary401(k) retirement savings plan with company matchEducational assistance/reimbursement19 days' Paid time offMedical, dental, and vision insuranceLife insuranceFlexible spending accountEmployee discount programsRobust Employee Referral ProgramCatalent offers rewarding opportunities to further your career!
