Through internal communications, public relations and corporate communications, you'll provide a wide range of marketing and communications services to internal and external audiences. These include current and future clients, our current and future employees, alumni, regulators, the media, and the communities within which we operate.**The opportunity**The Americas Leadership Communications Assistant Director works with the Leadership Communications team to support the Americas Chair and members of the Americas Executive team in executing strategic communication efforts used to inform and motivate internal and external audiences.**Your key responsibilities**This role will create and implement a broad range of communication deliverables across multiple channels, manage deliverable timelines, innovate existing programs and processes, and measure effort success, among other responsibilities.**Skills and attributes for success**+ Creates and develops content and manages scope and schedule for moderate to complex communications projects for internal and external audiences.+ Collaborates across the Leadership Communications team to develop project plans designed to effectively communicate strategic objectives and initiatives, while also managing associated tasks and deliverables.+ Develops strategic, targeted and impactful communications for leadership to inform, inspire and motivate various internal and external audiences. The subject matter of these communications will cover a broad spectrum, ranging from executive communications, to firmwide initiatives, as well as crisis communications and public relations-focused materials, all primarily aimed at strengthening organizational brand and culture. This role will be able to draft, obtain approval, and execute messaging through a variety of channels, including webcasts, videos, social media, organic media, internal and external leadership events, firmwide meetings, presentations, emails, and intranet content.+ Ensures Leadership communications remain focused and relevant to the firm's overarching strategy and voice, and that key messages are consistent and effective across internal and external channels.+ Serves as a consultant to Americas leadership as we communicate key objectives, convey complex messages and drive change management initiatives.+ Presents complex ideas and anticipates potential objections. Leverages experience, insight and creativity to influence others to consider innovative solutions to challenges. Anticipates and communicates ramifications of decisions and issues to project stakeholders. Presents alternatives when obstacles and objections arise.+ Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with internal project stakeholders. Manages project stakeholders' expectations. Possesses poise and confidence to professionally interact with all levels of management within the firm.+ In-depth knowledge of social media platforms as well as public relations experience. May be required to develop and cultivate relationships with media outlets and journalists.+ Possesses relevant market insight respective to their functional practice/internal clients. Exudes strong comfort level working across service lines, industries and their respective functional practice/internal client groups.+ Leverages available tools and technology to measure impact of communications initiatives. Analyzes measurement data to effectively advise leadership and ensure communications strategy evolves as needed.+ Acts as a strategic communications consultant with stakeholders when key business issues are discussed.+ Receives limited supervision and is competent to work independently within communications activities. Accepts and welcomes constructive feedback.+ As the job involves preparing materials for executives and other senior internal stakeholders, long hours are occasionally required.**To qualify for this role, you must have**+ Excellent written and oral communication skills (including presentations), as well as listening and interpretation skills.+ Ability to articulate complex subject matter in a straightforward, concise and easily digestible manner for broad audiences.+ A minimum of seven years of relevant experience.+ A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Communications, Business or related major.+ Prior experience in professional services (including as a client-serving professional) highly desirable.**Ideally, you'll also have**+ Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills, including the development of junior staff+ Strong project management skills+ Broad familiarity with business and legislative trends, including but not limited to those relevant to professional services firms+ Basic understanding of change management philosophies to help position communications appropriately**What we look for**We are looking for individuals that have a strong business acumen and personal leadership.
