The right candidate will have expertise in the regulation of biomedical products, including biopharmaceuticals and / or medical devices, and a broad understanding of the public health missions of the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). This candidate will have 1) consulting and management skills, 2) the ability to identify and shape emerging opportunities, 3) the ability to participate as a productive member within a matrixed team, and 4) a track record of high-quality project/product delivery.In addition, the right candidate will have a network of leaders in the biomedical ecosystem and the ability to support agencies within HHS through all phases of health and healthcare transformation. The candidate best suited for the position will thrive in a highly dynamic environment, easily performing independent work, as well as working comfortably in team settings.This position includes strategic and tactical planning, interfacing with clients, project management, project delivery, and interactions with both public and private sector entities in advising Federal health agencies. This position requires significant experience interacting with senior level leaders, the ability to build teams, and the ability to be a productive team member. The position provides an exciting opportunity to make a substantive impact in the area of health and healthcare.As a member of MITRE's Health Innovation department, the successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to our sponsors focusing on ensuring the health and well-being of our nation's civilians and military.Key Functions:The successful candidate will perform the following functions:+ Identify and shape emerging project opportunities to support HHS' mission,+ Provide strategic advice and counsel to HHS, and potentially other healthcare entities for the advancement of health outcomes,+ Support mission-critical projects as a lead and/or as an individual contributor+ Apply specific subject matter knowledge to achieve project objectives and to contribute to impactful outcomes,+ Identify actionable recommendations to improve operational efficacy in the public health domain, and+ Develop working relationships within MITRE across all levels of staff, management and executives to leverage the Corporation's deep experience across a broad set of domains.Required Qualifications:+ Bachelor's Degree in business, public health, medicine or healthcare, healthcare policy, public policy, economics, or related field with more than 10 years of experience+ Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, teaming environment+ Experience working with the Federal Government+ Strong project management experience, track record of successful execution+ Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate analyses and findings to various stakeholders Preferred Qualifications:+ Master's Degree in Business, Public Health, Medicine or Healthcare, Healthcare Policy, Public Policy, Economics, or related field with 1 to 3 years of experience This requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s): Suitability - HHS This requisition requires the hired candidate to have or obtain, within one year from the date of hire, the following clearance(s): Suitability - HHS MITRE is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
