Description Manhattan Strategy Group (MSG) in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Financial Auditor to perform work requiring the application of professional knowledge of auditing and/or accounting standards, and principles when performing work consisting of a systematic examination and appraisal of financial records, financial and management reports, management control, policies and practices affecting or reflecting the financial condition and operating results of an activity, analyzing work related to the developing and executing agency policies and programs, developing and executing audit policies and programs; conducting performance audits conducting activities related to the detection of fraud, waste and abuse; or developing and utilizing risk assessments from the organizational to transactional levels. Qualifications: Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, forensic Auditor or equivalent, obtained through written examination and demonstrate experience in auditing and monitoring block grant programs administered by states and tribes as well as nonprofit organizations that receive Federal grants; and one or more of the following: Degree in accounting; or degree in a related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included or was supplemented by twenty-four (24) semester hours in accounting. The twenty-four (24) hours may include six (6) hours of credit in business law. (The term "accounting" refers to both, accounting and auditing; orA combination of education and experience that includes at least four (4) years of experience in accounting and at thirty-six (36) semester hours of college level course work in accounting or auditing courses of appropriate type and quality, including up to six (6) hours of business law.
