The ICS Tax Senior Associate's primary responsibility is to coordinate the preparation of client tax returns and various due dates throughout the year to ensure compliance of all deadlines and to be involved in the tax planning process for all Investment Consulting clients. The ICS Tax Senior Associate will also work closely with all members of the team to ensure the coordination of tax strategies with wealth management and financial planning. This includes but is not limited to developing a working knowledge and understanding of the team's investment and financial planning philosophy, anticipating client needs, advising clients and collaborating with all team members to seamlessly serve clients. Tax Senior Associates receive both formal internal, external and on-the-job training to hone and develop their technical skills. ResponsibilitiesThe ICS Tax Senior Associate should expect to perform the following:+ Review and coordinate preparation of complex tax returns+ Coordinate tax estimates and tax updates for clients+ Develop an understanding of the client's financial situation+ Engage in the tax planning and consulting process, including complex estate planning, tax planning for business owners, transaction planning and any additional tax research or issues that could arise for a client+ Collaborate with engagement team to identify and research complex client issues and recommend solutions+ Proactively explore opportunities and make client recommendations for tax planning, including preparation of client focused materials+ Attend client meetings in a technical, supporting and learning role - adding value when needed; input meeting notes into CRM and ensure appropriate follow-up+ Utilize CRM tools to manage communications to/from the client, keep team well-informed of changes to the client tax situation+ Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other advisors and teams on best practices+ Supervise, train and mentor other members of our team+ Stay up-to-date on tax, retirement and estate planning strategies. This may include, but is not limited to attending seminars, internal or external conferences, and actively participating in webinars and conference calls.+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related degree and/or an advanced degree in Accounting, Taxation, JD or LLM+ 2+ years of relevant work experience with an accounting or investment firm+ Proficient use of technology including tax software programs and MS Excel+ Desire to pursue (or already earned) a professional designation (CPA, CFP(R), CPWA(R) preferred)+ Initiative to seek out opportunities in a fast-paced environment+ Team player; advanced problem-solving skills; well organized and a strong attention to detail; excellent attitude and client service oriented+ Ability to think openly about how to solve problems and adapt to new situationsApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.Andersen Tax welcomes and encourages workforce diversity.
