Administrative Assistant (Part-time), Department of Economics

The George Mason University, Department of Economics seeks a qualified non-student Administrative Assistant to provide general administrative support to the Department for 20 hours a week. This position will report to the Associate Chair.   • Act as the receptionist for the Department to include greeting visitors, managing incoming phone calls, and answering routine questions;
  • Handle administrative tasks to support the Department to include data entry, recordkeeping, routine correspondence and email outreach.

Required Qualifications:

  • Effective professional communication and organizational skills;
  • Some post-secondary education;
  • Proficient in MS Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Higher;
  • Prior administrative office experience;
  • Proficient in Canva.
