Communications Assistant, The C. Boyden Gray Center for the Study of the Administrative State

The George Mason University C. Boyden Gray Center for the Study of the Administrative State, within the Antonin Scalia Law School, invites applications for a Communications Assistant. About the Position:

Reporting to the Gray Center's Communications Director, and working closely with the Center's other team members, this position will help to design, edit, and publish the Center's communications across all platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Operating the Center's social media and other content channels;
• Editing and publishing the Center's working papers and policy briefs;
• Editing and publishing the Center's web site, social media, newsletter, announcements, annual report, and special reports;
• Improving the Center's content channels overall;
• Building the Center's audience among journalists and other key groups.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
• Excellent organizational skills, with the proven ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities effectively;
• Self-starter, highly motivated and detail-oriented;
• Clear and confident communicator;
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends when events are scheduled;
• Ability to work with multiple internal and external stakeholders;
• Experience with Microsoft Office (including Teams), and common publishing and social-media tools.
