Marketing Coordinator, College of Visual and Performing Arts

The George Mason University, College of Visual and Performing Arts seeks qualified applicants for a Marketing Coordinator. About the Position:

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the production and dissemination of printed and digital communications pieces for the College of Visual and Performing Arts in a manner which assists the organizational unit in fulfilling its mission.


  • Procure and monitor vendor services; coordinate with appropriate CVPA/CFA/HPAC personnel to issue, evaluate, and award vendor bids for printing, photography, and videography; project manage entire print project life cycle with printers and mailhouses;
  • Secure photographers and manage pre-shoot and post-shoot communications; manage photo asset delivery, storage, and dissemination;
  • Track all vendor expenses, confirm accurate vendor invoices and delivery dates, and coordinate tracking of marketing expenses for budget monitoring purposes;
  • Complete monthly purchase card reports;
  • Coordinate the distribution of printed materials on campus, and to marketing managers and other marketing staff as needed;
  • Assist Project and Creative Manager with project management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Superb organizational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail;
  • Strong editing and copywriting abilities;
  • Ability to manage a robust, fast-paced pipeline of print projects;
  • Flexible team player;
  • Marketing, Communications, Project Management, Print Shop, Arts Management, or Performing Arts venue experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
