Third Party Billing Account Representative

The George Mason University, Third Party Billing Office, invites candidates to apply for a Third Party Billing Account Representative position. About the Position:

This position is responsible for providing exemplary customer service to the university community, maintains third party billing processes, and reports to the Third Party Billing Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains third party billing deferred tuition, payments, and records;
  • Determines if an agency qualifies for a Special Arrangement Contract and creates account;
  • Reviews and enters tuition assistance authorizations;
  • Reconciles accounts;
  • Initiates payments and refund requests;
  • Researches and responds to third party and student accounts inquiries;
  • Other duties, as assigned.


Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Experience managing business processes and account reconciliations;
  • Intermediate user of Microsoft Office applications;
  • Demonstrated successful job experience requiring attention to detail and a high-volume workload;
  • Well organized with strong interpersonal/communication skills.
