Summary
This position is located in the Office of Nuclear Security and Incident Response, Division of Security and Operations, Security Performance Evaluation Branch. The supervisor is Jefferson Clark. This position is NBU. This position requires up to 50% travel. Travel expenses associated with the interview and/or relocation expenses associated with the job offer may be paid.
Selectee will be subject to Office of Government Ethics Confidential Financial Disclosure reporting requirements.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will perform the full range of Team Leader duties for the DSO/SPEB.
Such duties include but are not limited to:
1. Exercises supervisory responsibilities for less than 25% of the time.
2. Coordinates and oversees nuclear safeguards and security studies and technical reviews. Establishes and adjusts priorities and schedules for work assignments, accounting for varying resources and workloads. Works to achieve a balance between scope and quality of product and available time and resources.
3. Coordinates and oversees the analysis and evaluation of significant and complex security issues associated with the design, construction, and operation of NRC-licensed facilities, for the purpose of assessing the adequacy of security features and of security operating procedures to ensure the protection of public health and safety and national security interests.
4. Coordinates and oversees the preparation of written reports, technical publications, regulations, or guidance documents concerning the results of the above evaluations and analyses that set forth conclusions and/or recommendations for Division action. Serves as a mentor to new security team members. Provides technical guidance concerning analysis and resolution of difficult and complex security issues to the team staff.

Qualifications
In addition to the basic requirements, to qualify for this position you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as expert knowledge, training, and experience in safeguards and security principles and practices. Demonstrated ability and current experience in analyzing complex nuclear security operations to determine their technical feasibility or vulnerability, and ability to judge adequacy of protective measures and/or defensive strategies.
