Summary

As a Financial Analyst with emphasis in Commercial Credit, you will assist with projects, tool development, analysis, and reports to identify and evaluate commercial credit risks; organize and analyze data using associated economic, financial, statistical, and mathematical principles.

Responsibilities

As a Financial Analyst with emphasis in Commercial Credit, you will:
  • Support the planning, development and delivery of broad project management assignments involving research and data analysis to identify risks associated with bank operations and financial systems related to commercial credit activities.
  • Prepare analysis of SAS or other datasets in order to advise on various banking and financial services related to commercial credit activities or projects and monitor and analyze the condition and performance of the banking/financial services system.
  • Create trend analysis and consistency reports reflecting bank and banking activities, systems, and services related to commercial credit activities.
  • Write computer programs and code using statistical software tools as well as other quantitative analysis tools and techniques.
  • Use data visualization principles and software to develop reports, dashboards, white papers, and presentations relating to commercial credit risks in banking.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement:

You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-IV band level or GS-11 in the Federal service. Examples of specialized experience for this position include:
  • Using SAS or similar statistical analysis software to analyze banking or financial datasets related to commercial credit activities (e.g. commercial industrial or real estate lending, small business lending, leveraged lending, portfolio valuation, and stress testing).

The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.

  • Salary range includes 22.26% geographical pay.
