Intralox L.L.C., the world leader in conveyor equipment solutions utilizing modular plastic conveyor belts, has a position available for a Senior Accountant. The qualified individual will provide accounting support for our growing equipment platform and will be based in our new Intralox facility located in Hanover, MD. The position will be a key member of our Equipment Accounting Group (based in New Orleans, LA). This position will work in close partnership with our internal operations departments to ensure meaningful reporting and analysis and apply best practices and continuous improvement concepts to the inventory management processes.

  • Monitor and provide detailed analysis on inventory/manufacturing transactions
  • Work directly with operations on process improvements and issue resolution
  • Participate in, sometimes leading, recurring meetings with various departments, with constant awareness of accounting impacts
  • Assist with cost bookings on large projects for percentage of completion revenue recognition
  • Prepare and maintain monthly account reconciliations
  • Review and analyze balance sheet and gross margin accounts
  • Review departmental costs to ensure proper general ledger coding
  • Prepare month end adjusting journal entries
  • Assist in timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
  • Assist with creation/maintenance of internal controls and internal process documentation to mitigate risk
  • Develop tools and processes to improve the gathering and preparation of financial reporting on department spending, manufacturing variances, and project costing
  • Support interim/annual audits
  • Participate on special projects as necessary (system improvements/business initiatives)
  • Regular travel to New Orleans is required (depending on current COVID protocol)
  • A BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related study, with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Inventory accounting experience
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other Microsoft Office products
  • Able to collaborate with a multi-department team
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to travel (depending on COVID protocol)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Public accounting experience or CPA/CMA preferred
  • Proven work experience in manufacturing industry preferred
  • Experience with Oracle and/or other large ERP system preferred
