Job Summary/Company: Our client, an education advocacy organization, is looking for a motivated HR Specialist - Recruiting to join its team. This person will be responsible for leading all compliance related programs and reporting, administering new employee orientation throughout the organization, co-leading the company-wide intern program, conducting full-cycle recruiting for intern and other roles as needed, and providing recruiting coordination support for the HR Team.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Talent Acquisition process through managing job postings, providing job fair support, scheduling interviews, reviewing offer letters, administering background checks, and onboarding/offboarding employees.
  • Co-lead company-wide intern and AmeriCorp program by partnering with organizations to identify opportunities, recruit talent and measure, and report on program effectiveness.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all HR systems.
  • Maintain employee data and files in HRIS, ATS and IT systems. Process and audit data changes.
  • Adjust and/or recommended enhancements to HR policies, processes, and procedures to solve problems and/or improve effectiveness related to Talent Acquisition.
  • Prepare and disseminate monthly recruiting and ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Manage full life-cycle recruiting process for intern and other positions as needed for various functional groups to include; completing initial intake meetings with hiring managers, screen, interview and assess applicants for open positions and extend offers of employment.
  • Coordinate and facilitate New Employee Orientation programs
  • Provide ongoing support for Benefits Administration
Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience
  • 3- 5 years of experience in Human Resources/Recruiting
  • Knowledge of government-mandated employment/labor laws, reporting and compliance
  • Experience in Talent Acquisition (including full-life cycle recruiting) and/or Training
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse community.
  • Prior non-profit experience/ knowledge or startup experience preferred
  • Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and/or Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong collaboration skills
