Job Summary/Company:

Sparks Group in collaboration with its client - a growing government contractor, is searching for a skilled Contracts Administrator. The Administrator will provide assistance on contract administration and subcontracting matters. The ideal candidate will have prior contracts administration experience, preferably with federal government contractors. Responsibilities:
  • Manage contracts cradle to grave from Request for Proposal (RFP) through Contract Closeout; support all functions including coordination efforts with involved contributors
  • Review and negotiate contracts, amendments, change orders, client and vendor agreements; respond to inquiries regarding revisions
  • Oversee the processing of contract documents to ensure compliance with state/federal procurement and agency policy requirements
  • Ensure compliance with contracts policies, procedures, operating practices, and performance standards
  • Identify potential risks, propose solutions, and facilitate effective implementation of solutions within program objectives and requirements
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and federal entities
  • Use contract management tools, methods, and processes to interact with internal teams and external contacts
  • Provide contract management training to junior personnel when required

Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Position requires US Citizenship; ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
  • 4+ years of contract administration experience; prior experience working with a federal entity is a plus
  • Knowledge of federal contracting regulations and policies; understanding of FAR/DFAR, pricing and principles
  • Knowledge drafting, negotiation and use of contracts, subcontracts, Purchase Orders, Teaming, and other forms of agreements
  • Familiar with Federal procurement databases preferred; Deltek Costpoint experience is required
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications; intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Solid communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with teams or present recommendations to increase efficiency
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex reports, needs and documentations
