St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for the position of Transfer Evaluation Coordinator.  Under the supervision of the Registrar, the Transfer Evaluation Coordinator maintains and carries out the responsibilities associated with the College's transfer credit policies and procedures.  These tasks include the evaluation of credit, updating of student transfer records, answering all transfer and experiential credit questions for potential, new and returning students, faculty, and staff, among others. In addition, the Transfer Coordinator supports the Registrar's Office by completing special projects as needed.  This position may also be asked to support the Office of Admission by attending transfer fairs at Community Colleges in the State of Maryland.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and three years’ experience in a transfer related position is required, preferably in the State of Maryland.  Demonstrated experience working with transfer policies and procedures.  Strong computer skills are required. Familiarity with online databases and student information systems that is central to providing transfer information and the recording of transfer credit on the student academic record. Interpret and apply FERPA regulations when appropriate. Knowledge of undergraduate curriculum requirements, international educational systems, and the ARTSYS system. Some advising experience is required.  Must possess good written and oral communication skills, and be able to work flexibly and effectively with diverse constituencies.  Must possess a high level of analytical skill and have the ability to make independent decisions of equivalence.  Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to lift approximately 25 pounds. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered.  Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check and proof of COVID-19 vaccination, medical and religious exemptions will be considered.  The annualized salary is $45,500.
