Director of Software Engineering - HR Technology

We are seeking a Director of Software Engineering to work in our Human Resources Technology space and who will be specifically focusing on tech around our compensation, benefits, total rewards, and recognition awards systems. This individual will also be responsible for the software and platforms used in our performance and talent management activities. Moreover, this individual will deliver and operate large, complex information security operations programs in the areas of risk management, vulnerabilities, and data loss prevention. Will also:
  • Lead teams to support business growth, services goals and is accountable for the day-to-day work of managers and/or Senior Professionals or virtual teams.
  • Communicate strategies across IT teams and foster collaboration in IT and business areas.
  • Build strong relationships with HR business partners to meet compliance and security regulations.


Additionally this individual will build technology solutions that will assist the organization on its continued journey in the Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging space.

This leader will be responsible for full stack engineering teams as well as owning some vendor applications including integration and customization. Success in the role requires an innovative mind, strong people leadership skills, a proven track record of delivering next generation software and data products, rigorous analytical skills, and a passion for creating market-leading software.

You will:
  • Lead, manage, and grow/develop direct reports and multiple teams of product focused software & data engineers
  • Embrace and incubate emerging technology and open source products across all platforms
  • Work to modernize our existing tech stacks and data platforms
  • Collaborate with internal teams to find areas of opportunities for automation and machine learning
  • Partner with architects, product owners, data professionals, and software & data engineers to drive the implementation of new applications
  • Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across full-stack development tools and technologies.
  • Lead efforts to deploy new and existing applications into AWS environments and provide operational support for the applications.
  • Conduct design and code review to ensure compliance with standards
  • Manage large, complex, tech programs by leading teams to deliver, enhance, and operate solutions and drive integration.
  • Provide director level technical consulting to both partners and IT development, support, and operations teams.
  • Develop operational support processes to ensure tracking service level agreements, assessing security risks and maintaining, testing and auditing existing systems. Ensure compliance to corporate policies and standards.
  • Manage budget forecasts and capital and operational expenditures



Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 7 years of experience in software or data engineering
  • At least 7 years of experience in information technology systems and infrastructure
  • At least 5 years of experience managing software or data engineering teams



Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
  • 10+ years of experience in software or data engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in information technology systems and infrastructure
  • 7+ years of experience managing software and data engineering teams
  • 5+ years of experience with AWS
