The Manager, Group Homes, plans, directs and coordinates services for residents at The Manor, an assisted living/psychiatric group home. The Manager supervises all staff, programming, and admissions at the Manor and ensures proper care and treatment of our clients. This individual is responsible for maintaining a safe, orderly and therapeutic environment for the residents and for maintaining the quality management processes.

Job Description

• Initiates and implements complete, comprehensive psycho-social assessments
• Provides individual, group, and family therapies to clients and their families
• Participates in and interdisciplinary treatment team to propose and develop strategies and interventions that would promote excellent therapeutic outcomes
• Supervises all Manor staff and operations, treatment teams, staff meetings and other programming meetings as required
• Coordinates with the interdisciplinary team, referral sources, and community resources aftercare and supportive services to ensure a successful discharge planning process. Promotes positive patient-family-community relations.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to diffuse psychotic and/or behavioral crises to ensure client, unit, and staff safety an stability
• Prepares reports to DHR, Adventist Healthcare and other bodies regarding patient care and programming
• Ensures and oversees compliance with COMAR regulations to include staff educational training and maintaining integrity of the physical plant
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications: Education and Experience
• Master's degree in Social Work/Counseling or equivalent master's degree in a recognized health field
• 2-5 years' experience required
• LGSW/LGPC in the State of Maryland required
• LCSW-C/LCPC or an RN with Behavioral Health experience preferred

The Group Home Manager is responsible for the oversight, therapeutic support and operational management of a 16 bed, psychiatric assisted living facility for adults.


Work Schedule:

General working hours are Monday through Friday but weekends are required when coverage is needed.
