Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire a Utility Aide who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Utility Aide you will:
• Sweep, mop and maintain floors including inside departmental walk-in refrigerators and freezers, and all other areas in the kitchen (cold prep areas, serving areas, cook's area, tray line, storage rooms).
• Clean major pieces of equipment on a regular basis using designated cleaning agents; ovens (convection, deck, under stoves and combi oven) according to schedule
• Clean all other equipment listed under weekly, monthly and quarterly cleaning list.
• Empty all trashcans in all kitchen and service areas; disposes of waste properly; wash trash cans as needed; and replace liners on trash cans and returns them to the proper place.
• Washes walls, storage shelves, racks, and carts following cleaning schedule and using established procedure.
• Maintain janitor's area, cleans mop room including shelves, cleans all sink including hand sinks. Makes sure dispenser for chemicals is operating properly and are refilled as needed and informs supervisor when supplies will be required.
• Maintain dock areas

Qualifications include:
• High School diploma or GED desired but not required
• One (1) year of relevant hospital setting preferred
• Proficiency in English. Bilingual is a plus.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Food Handlers Certification helpful

Work Schedule:

Variable-part time scheduled as needed for a flexible schedule and every other weekend coverage. Scheduled in advance with Shift Differential pay.

Equipment utilization: Work requires the use of cleaning equipment found in institutional setting. Requires operating knowledge of food service equipment such as chopper, blender, food processor, toaster, dishwasher, etc.

COVID-19 Vaccination

Tobacco and Drug Statement
