Summary

The MIL Corporation seeks a Data Business Analyst with Power BI experience to support a Federal Government client at one of our Washington, DC Metropolitan area locations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on and execute user experience designs with cross-functional teams, including engineers and stakeholders
  • Take ideas from the concept to the production stage
  • Produce information architecture, task-flow diagrams, and data visualizations using Power BI
  • Create complex dashboards in Power BI and the design knowledge to make them vibrant, compelling, accessible, and clear
  • Solve design issues with creativity, efficiency, and precision
  • Ongoing heavy engagement with the client, providing teaching/coaching across enterprise to support utilization of Power BI dashboard and best practices in data governance

Required Qualifications

  • Expertise in designing interactive user interfaces and web interface details for interactive platforms
  • Ability to work well in teams while independently managing design components related to a given project
  • Experience leading portions of design work
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise judgement
  • Experience working within an Agile framework
  • Proven track record in the creation of interaction models, screen designs, and UX details that promote ease of use and optimize the user experience
  • Knowledge of UX best practices, design techniques, user interface design patters, and standard UCD methodologies
  • Ability to explain design processes and concepts
  • Strong background in visual storytelling

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in data visualization using Power BI
  • Previous government contracting or consulting experience
  • Econometrics or ERP data analysis experience
