Appian is actively seeking an Associate Application Engineer to develop the apps and workflows that make up both the backbone and the end user experience of Appian Community Edition.

Appian Community Edition is an unlimited-time developer environment for all customers, prospects, partners and developers interested in either test driving Appian's low-code automation platform, or learning and getting Appian Certified. You will showcase how Appian helps organizations build apps and workflows rapidly, with the experiences you build as well as enable our internal teams with powerful tools, automations and analytics.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain cutting-edge applications that convey Appian's value
• Build enhanced reports, analytics and automations for internal use
• Drive developer engagement, sales enablement and internal education
• Test drive emerging product features and provide feedback to Engineering
• Support deployments and quarterly product releases

Qualifications:

• B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field/degree
• Ability to effectively communicate technical issues, resolve problems, and meet deadlines
• 0-2 years of hands-on Appian development experience preferred
• UX design experience preferred
• Experience working with AI, Machine Learning, Robotic Process Automation, SQL, and APIs preferred
• Someone who thrives on dynamic and cross-functional teams
• Passionate about technology and you enjoy continuously learning
• Not complacent. Always looking to improve the quality and features of our offerings.
• A great communicator comfortable presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences
