Job Announcement

An exciting opportunity exists to work with Healthy Minds Fairfax, a county initiative with the goal to increase equitable access to quality behavioral health services for youth and their families who live in Fairfax County and the cities of Falls Church and Fairfax. Under the supervision of the Healthy Minds Program Manager, manages an outpatient therapy service for low- and moderate-income youth with emerging behavioral health issues. Services are provided under contract with private providers. Provides training and education to referral sources, contracted providers, and stakeholders. Oversees the referral process, works closely with stakeholders, and collects and analyzes data. Other duties include being part of workgroups and committees that focuses on improving behavioral youth services. Functions independently. Must be computer literate, and familiar with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm with occasional evening and weekend hours. Employment Standards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following:

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in field related to the assigned functional area; Plus four years of professional work experience with in the functional area.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A master’s degree in counseling, psychology, public administration, social work, or other human services related field.
  • Knowledge of public sector management practices with considerable knowledge of human services processes, policies and programs focusing on children’s mental health/behavioral health. • Knowledge in children behavioral health issues.
  • Experience assisting organizations with integrating the utilization of data.
  • Strong organizational skills and data analysis experience.
  • Clear and concise oral and written communication skills.
  • Project or program management experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience in using data to manage and evaluate programs.
  • Grant writing experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with providing and evaluating the delivery of services to at risk children, youth and their families.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
Valid Driver's license.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background, a driving record check, and a Child Protective Services check to the satisfaction of the employer.

This position is considered essential personnel and will be required to report to work during times designated countywide as approved for unscheduled leave regardless of the emergency situation (i.e., weather, transportation, other disaster).

All newly hired employees are required to be fully vaccinated as a condition of employment or obtain approval of a medical or religious exemption prior to their start date. Proof of an exemption or vaccination status will be required during the pre-employment onboarding process. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is generally sedentary and performed in an office environment and in various community-based settings. Must be able to communicate with others. Employee may be required to lift up to 15 lbs. Ability to travel to carry out job responsibilities All duties are performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
