Responsibilities:
  • With minimal supervision, performs preventive maintenance or repairs in assigned areas or equipment including but not limited to heating, cooling, extinguishers, fans, motors, toilets, faucets, lights and production equipment.
  • Supports renovation projects, equipment installations or relocations and complex building modifications.
  • Supports production operations with equipment repairs and maintenance.
  • Assists with completion of small renovation projects
  • Operates and maintains a variety of equipment including general hand tools, buffers, scrubbers, pressure washers, paint stripers, EZ go carts, groundskeeping equipment (front end loaders or a back-hoe), Genie manlift or forklifts.
  • Utilizes work order management system to receive and complete work orders, preventive maintenance and provide updates on work orders for facility projects.
  • Uses appropriate tools, equipment, and chemicals per manufacturer's specifications.
  • Moves furniture and equipment as assigned.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures and adheres to company standards.
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Performs any other miscellaneous duties as requested.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least five (5) years of general maintenance experience including light electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repairs.
  • Ability to perform general repairs and preventive maintenance work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing building and equipment malfunctions and failures.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to read labels, directions, work orders and provide input to all levels of employees.
  • Must be a team player committed to working in an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must be physically able to perform maintenance tasks which includes ability to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs and other duties per job description compliance documents.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Certified or licensed in electrical, mechanical or plumbing trades.
  • Competence and experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel).
  • Familiar with utilizing and working with CMMS's
