The individual will assume overall responsibility for all functions of Consumer Lending and Indirect Lending Funding Operations for Northwest Federal Credit Union. This will be accomplished through the efficient delivery and competitive pricing of the Credit Union\u2019s consumer loan and indirect lending products. This individual will be responsible for setting and managing the Credit Union\u2019s consumer lending goals, while ensuring that the Consumer Lending Department operates within the established lending policies and procedures set forth by the Credit Union. This individual will also contribute to the preparation, strategic planning, and review of the Consumer Lending and Indirect Processing Departments annual budget, while providing leadership and guidance to the management and staff of the departments in order to accomplish the goals and initiatives set forth by the Credit Union.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the employees in the Direct Consumer Lending and Indirect Funding Operations Department
  • Responsible for delivering outstanding service that delivers on our Service Promises
  • Participates in the development and recommendation of overall consumer loan and indirect operation objectives, policies and practices regarding lending strategies and tactics, including the design, pricing and delivery of loan products and services
  • Ensures CU is competitive by doing regular comparative market analysis
  • Review credit guidelines and their application to ensure our core focus is on Service, Integrity and Excellence
  • Evaluate the consumer loan portfolio and analyze any developing trends
  • Oversee staff, resources and integration of department functions to achieve organizational goals
  • Measure and monitor consumer lending officer performance ensuring credit philosophy, guidelines and practices are being followed
  • Provide leadership and direction to Consumer and Indirect lending operations department staff
  • Ensures performance plan is established for each employee and manage individual performance
  • Keep well informed about new technology regarding dynamic application processing
  • Develop and implement new market products
  • Works with VP, SVP Lending and CFO in developing short and long term goals and plans
  • Utilizing analytical, critical thinking capabilities and innovative approaches in the research, evaluation and recommendation of new consumer lending products and services that correspond with strategic goals of the organization
  • Review sales reports and ensures cross selling goals are being met
  • Monitors changes in the loan pipeline to ensure sufficient coverage
  • Ensure timely delivery of loans
  • Remains cognizant of and adheres to NWFCU policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)


Qualifications

  • Bachelor\u2019s degree
  • A minimum of 10 years progressive management experience in a consumer lending capacity at a financial institution
  • Competent in underwriting complex consumer loans
