Photo Producer Job Summary:

Sparks Group and a renowned company in Bethesda, MD have partnered together to find a Photo Producer for a long-term contract assignment. As a Photo Producer, you will be responsible for planning and organizing photoshoots and working in collaboration with international agency team members and brand partners to deliver exceptional photography in the most cost-effective and efficient manner possible. You will assume responsibility for the management of existing photography vendor relationships. At the same time, they will also seek out and nurture new vendor relationships in order to help achieve both creative and business objectives. The Photo Producer will serve as the primary point of contact for photography projects and will be responsible for bidding, organizing and leading multiple photo-related projects at once.

Photo Producer Responsibilities:
  • Manage, coordinate and supervise all photo shoot production and act as the point of contact for internal agency.
  • Work with creative team to develop overall vision and preparations for upcoming shoots.
  • Coordinate, advise and consult project managers, account and creative teams on the shoot process, schedule, production details and their role on set.
  • Liaise with third-party agency to coordinate location logistics including booking, negotiating fees, scouting, permits, talent and transportation.
  • License illustrations from stock houses or individual artists.
  • Develop and present budgets to brand partners.
  • Advise on retouching and relay comments to external re-touchers on behalf of creative lead.
  • Maintain photo shoot calendar and on-going list of approved photography vendors.
  • Assure final delivery of photography and necessary releases to creative and account teams.
  • Oversee naming and uploading of final image files and releases to brand partners.

Photo Producer Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience producing photo shoots for advertising and brand campaigns.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current ad campaigns and photography trends; knowledge of agents representing photographers across a wide variety of styles and expertise.
  • Ability to understand creative concepts and recommend stylistically appropriate photographer.
  • Keen understanding of diverse visual identities across assigned brands.
  • Mac-literate; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects on a fast-paced schedule.
  • Ability to envision the bigger picture while maintaining an eye for detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, and manage self as well as others.
