Senior Manager, Product Management - CreditWise
CreditWise from Capital One helps customers understand, protect, improve and get the most value out of their credit scores - for free, for everyone. The CreditWise team is a mission-driven and innovative start-up within Capital One that seeks to empower customers with delightful experiences and features to help them take control of their financial health, save money and make better decisions.
We are looking for a Senior Manager, Product Management to join our team to lead exciting new product, platform and data opportunities and drive cross-functional execution.
To be successful in the role, you will bring analytical and creative problem solving to identify what features and capabilities to prioritize to drive business and customer objectives. You are a fast learner who can quickly become an expert in the fintech and the financial health space. You are collaborative, results-focused and a self-starter, and you have demonstrated success in leading cross-functional projects in partnership with tech, design and analysts.
Responsibilities
- Lead a cross-functional team of design, tech, analysts and others to identify, prioritize, and launch new features that drive customer and business outcomes
- Understand user needs and advocate relentlessly for the customer
- Build a shared team vision and buy-in on priorities through written and verbal communication
- Advance CreditWise's strategic and competitive position and deliver products recognized as best in the industry
- Develop a product strategy and roadmap that solves customer needs and business objectives spanning multiple product teams
- Go deep on customer and product data to analyze and improve the performance of new product features
- As a product owner, you own the roadmap and priorities for a tech team and are accountable for the outcomes of that team
We want you if you are:
- Intellectually Curious. You ask why, you explore, you're not afraid to blurt out your crazy idea or follow an email chain for weeks to find someone with an answer. Comfortable with ambiguity, a hunger to learn and a seeker of new challenges.
- Communicator & Influencer. You can communicate complex ideas clearly regardless of your audience. Our team knows their priorities and why they're doing what they're doing. You always can rally associates to work with you.
- Do-er. You're biased toward action, you try things and sometimes you fail. You can get around roadblocks and stay focused on your goals. You're well organized, able to multitask and able to prioritize your work.
- Passionate & Customer Focus. You care about growing others and bringing them together around what's possible. You get a thrill from the journey of building and shipping products, and you have a desire and ability to connect with our external or internal customers to fully understand their needs.
- Learner. You have an appetite to learn new things or new technologies all while exhibiting humbleness when the time comes to ask for help.
- Team Player. You enjoy working with diverse people and driving the team toward a common goal. You have the ability to put the team before yourself and establish long-lasting relationships.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or military experience
- At least 5 years of product management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- MBA or Master's degree
- 7+ years of experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products
