In this role, you will create learning experiences that enable participants to achieve desired learning outcomes in a human-centered and goal-oriented way. As a successful candidate you must excel at analyzing learner needs, managing stakeholder relationships, designing and developing blended learning solutions, and measuring learning effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating participant-centered learning solutions for new and existing employees at Northwest Federal
  • Utilize an array of software, instructional design methods, and adult learning theories to produce a variety of materials that promote learning through self-study, practice, performance support, socialization, and knowledge sharing
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, SMEs, and training specialists to ensure learning solutions are aligned to business goals and performance needs
  • Provide updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
  • Gain subject expertise of system and business processes through independent research and partnership with others
  • Translate needs analysis and functional specifications into clear and concise course designs
  • Design and develop content that includes measurable learning objectives, leaders and participant materials and tools, experiential scenarios and simulations, and assessment and evaluation questions
  • Provide support to the maintenance of curriculum, programs, learning materials, and performance support tools based on instructional design standards and adult learning principles in conjunction with current learning trends
  • Collaborate with team members to increase the effectiveness of learning solutions by identifying and recommending program improvements, such as format/modalities, that create an optimal learning experience
  • Consult with project managers and department stakeholders to analyze needs and identify performance improvement solutions in support of change efforts on organization initiatives
  • Maintain knowledge of current and emerging talent development industry trends and technology
  • Participate in meetings, projects, and teams as well as perform other duties as assigned
  • Remains cognizant of and adheres to NWFCU policies and procedures as well as regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)


Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor\u2019s degree in Instructional Systems Design, HR, or related field, or a combination of training, education, and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform role responsibilities
  • Experienced application of instructional design models, adult learning principles, and evaluations methods
  • Experience working with various authoring tools (Articulate 360, Vyond, and Camtasia preferred)
  • Experience analyzing, designing, and developing learning solutions for individuals or groups (three of more years preferred)
  • Effective organizational awareness, project management, and communication skills with the ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences
  • Proficiency in MS Office and in database software

Preferred:
  • Previous Credit Union/Finance Institution experience
  • Knowledge of Northwest Federal\u2019s culture, products, services, policies, and system applications
  • Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) and/or Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certified
  • Experience working in Learning Management Systems (LMS)
