Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Hyperbaric Technician for our Inpatient Department who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Hyperbaric Technician, you will:
• Maintains visual observation and/or audible contact with the hyperbaric control panel and patient in chambers at all times.
• Observes hyperbaric systems and patient during the course of hyperbaric oxygen treatment at all times.
• Reports unusual occurrences to hyperbaric physician and Safety Director and records patient's condition appropriately in EMR.
• Prepares and maintains the hyperbaric chamber equipment, medicine and materials needed for hyperbaric treatment patients.
• Operates and ensures the safety of the hyperbaric systems and equipment as per policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate competency in core & unit-specific clinical skills.
• Participates in department's quality improvement plan and assists in collecting data used for Quality Assurance & Education.
• Assists with patient care duties as needed and maintains required competencies.
• Maintains and orders hyperbaric supplies as appropriate.

Qualifications include:
•High School Diploma or GED required
•CNA, MA, EMT, LPN/LVN, RN or Respiratory Therapist certified in Maryland
•Minimum of 2 years' experience in healthcare environment is required; Wound, Hyperbaric or critical care experience is preferred
• Active American Heart Association BLS CPR card
