Driver (PT)

We are in search of a Driver who is responsible for safely transporting students, staff, and visitors to and from various locations. The Driver deals extensively with the public and must be diplomatic, courteous, and helpful. The Driver will also assist with general building operation support tasks that may include transporting interoffice mail, supplies, books, and equipment between the School’s two campuses.

Responsibilities:

• Drives students from various locations to include the metro stations and the School's two campuses.

• Drives staff, teachers, or School guests to designated locations, including but not limited to meetings, activities, field trips, and other locations as need.

• Performs vehicle inspection prior to use and completes vehicle inspection report

• Maintains cleanliness of the vehicle

• Delivers vehicle to designated locations for any scheduled or required maintenance service

• Immediately reports any accident or damage to the vehicle

• Immediately reports any moving or parking violations

• Under general or limited supervision, performs a variety of general building operations support tasks to include but not limited to manual and clerical tasks associated with the pick-up, transport, and delivery of mail, supplies, equipment, and books

• Provides cafeteria coverage during breaks and assist cafeteria staff with minor cleaning tasks

• Perform other duties that are assigned

Requirements:

• Valid CDL Class B License with a Passenger (P) endorsement

• Copy of driving record

• Copy of medical certification

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Ability to use discretion when transporting and handling sensitive documents

• Ability to communicate with people that have limited English language skills

• Ability to interact with populations of diverse backgrounds.

Monday – Thursday, 5:15 pm – 9:30 pm Location: Harvard Street Campus
