Glazier

Responsible for installation of glass, frames, store fronts & curtain walls. Employee would be responsible for producing an end result that is within tolerances & meets the requirements of the individual job. Must be familiar with company and project specific policies & procedures, including but not limited to safety procedures. Employee must be able to move parts and heavy frames on and off machinery & around the jobsite. Able to read shop drawings. Minimum four years experience of related glass and glazing experience.  May substitue two years expereince in a related construction trade.  

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

1. Reads shop drawings
2. Cuts, miters and drills holes in aluminum
3. Assembles aluminum framing systems
4. Cuts glass and mirror to specified size & shape
5. Maintains clean, safe work area
6. Sets a standard for regular attendance and punctuality
7. Works any overtime as directed by the foremen or superintendent
8. Performs other duties as directed by the foremen or superintendent
9. Understanding Installations and procedures for various systems

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

1.      High School Diploma or GED

1. Provide own source of transportation to and from the jobsite

3.      Experience and ability to accurately read and use a tape measure is mandatory 

4.      Handling glass safely, using glass-cutters

5.      Must learn the maintenance and adjustment procedures for machines to be used 

6.      Forklift training is necessary

7.      Demonstrate effective verbal, written, and communication skills 

8.      Heavy lifting required

1. Ability to utilize judgment, dependability, flexibility, and thoroughness in performance of duties

WORKING CONDITIONS

Construction environment; may be exposed to loud noises, changing temperatures, uneven surfaces, unprotected heights, vibrations, machinery with moving parts, and toxic materials. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Constantly

Lift 50-100lbs, standing for long periods of time, walking, overhead work, balancing, stooping, reaching, visual acuity, hearing

Frequently

Lift 20lbs, pushing, pulling, manual dexterity, climbing, kneeling, talking, ladder work, fine manipulation

Occasionally

Lifting 10 lbs or less, Lifting in excess of 100lbs, crouching, driving
