Primary responsibility is to create and maintain reports and dashboards out of established databases, trending and reporting of program specific information and data to support performance improvement and contractual reporting requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc program reporting. Designs and maintains reports to facilitate meeting contractual reporting requirements. The Revenue Cycle Data Analytics Specialist is the super-user for reporting systems and tools and works with vendors and IT counterparts to implement, test, and maintain reporting tools for the Revenue Cycle department. Works with the Revenue Cycle Analytics Manager and Director of Revenue Cycle Analytics and Operations to design, program, operationalize and produce reports to effectively and efficiently report revenue cycle activities and outcomes. Provides reporting expertise and serves as the "super user" for revenue cycle.

Qualifications

Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree (Required)

Minimum Work Experience
3 years - Related and progressive experience, preferably in revenue cycle or financial analysis. (Required)
Experience with strategic thinking, ability to multi-task, keen organizational skills, and effective communication. (Required)
Experience with healthcare. (Preferred)

Required Skills/Knowledge
The ability to maintain efficient reporting and database structures required to support the program.
Knowledge of databases, solution integration, problem solving skills are required.
Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
Knowledge of SQL, SAS/SPSS, or Tableau is preferred.
Experience with software implementation projects is preferred
Must be able to function in a dynamic environment subject to impromptu changes in schedules and priorities.
Must have the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships and to interact positively and productively with others.

Functional Accountabilities

Database Support
1. Conceptualize and develop reports to support the strategic plan for performance improvement and to support achievement of contractual reporting requirements.
2. Manage reporting tools and databases and provide improvement recommendations to enhance reporting of data.
3. Provide support for reporting tools and databases, include education for users and troubleshoot when problems arise.
4. Consult with the Revenue Cycle leadership and management team in the design, development and implementation of systems to support managerial decision making.

Administrative Support
1. Provide administrative support, such as developing graphs, flow charts, spread sheets, and other tools used to promote data analysis, as needed.
2. Provide consultation for staff for the databases, include education for users and troubleshoot when problems arise.
3. Consult with staff on the use of software, educate staff on software, as needed.
4. Ensure on-going communication with the Director of Revenue Cycle Analytics and Operations and other members of Revenue Cycle, as appropriate.
5. Ensure communication with Revenue Cycle staff or functions impacted with solution.

Project Management
1. Assist in the development of policies and procedures for specific programmatic functional responsibilities.
2. Ensure critical milestones are met.
3. Ensure transfer of knowledge from vendor to Children's National Revenue Cycle.
4. Assist in the development and ongoing maintenance of requirements.
