Adventist Healthcare Shady Grove Medical Center's award-winning Level III NICU has an opening for a variable part time, Infant Feeding Technician (IFT). The ideal candidate will have experience preparing infant feedings and formulas and be responsible and detail-oriented. The infant feeding tech will demonstrate basic computational skills and excellent communication skills. That includes interactions with nurses, physicians, parents, dietitians, other hospital staff, as well as the other infant feed techs. Previous supervisory and/or managerial experience, food service, or healthcare experience preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepares and delivers all infant feedings as ordered by physicians and dietitians using breast milk, infant formula, human milk fortifiers, and enteral feeding products.
2. Maintains sanitation in the preparation area and adheres to all sanitary regulations and standards established by regulating agencies and hospital policies.
3. Calculates and verifies new formulations or standardized recipes.
4. Communicates and interacts regularly with nursing staff regarding any changes with feeding orders.
5. Prepares daily log and documentation of prepared infant feedings.

Basic Requirements:
1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. Basic computer skills and familiarity using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
3. Ability to write and communicate in English.
