Our client in the legal industry is seeking an Human Resources Assistant who will play a critical role in supporting the administrative and operational functions of the human resources department. If this sounds like you, we are looking for someone with recruitment and onboarding, planning and execution of employee events, and assist with performance evaluation process experience.

Job Requirements

Qualified applicant must be able to:
  • Create and maintain all employment, I9, benefits and recruitment files, events and vendor files
  • Assist with compliance mailings and/or reporting
  • Prepare and submit check requests for invoices, processes expense reimbursements
  • Track and update Leave of Absence Time Sheets
  • Prepare benefits termination package
  • Prepare compensation change letters and Wage Theft Prevention Notices
  • Monitor and file 30-day and 90-day evaluations
  • Draft job positions for open positions
  • Schedule interviews with candidates
  • Perform reference and background checks
  • Prepare new hire welcome packets, schedule orientations and host new hire orientations

  • Bachelor's degree required; HR or Business Management concentration preferred. All applicants must have a GPA 3.75 or higher
  • 1-2 years previous work experience in HR preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications including Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Excellent spelling, grammar and written communication skills
  • Excellent oral communications skills
  • Excellent organization skills, including attention to detail
