Financial AnalystOur client in Baltimore, MD, a prominent and well-known, real-estate development company is looking to hire a Financial Analyst! This is brand new position due to growth that will report to the Director of Finance and be their right hand person! This is an internationally renowned, family-owned company that specializes in development and management of commercial real estate, entertainment districts, sporting venues, gaming, hotels, restaurants, residential properties, and much more! Our client emphasizes an environment of entrepreneurship and collaboration amongst its team members, rewarding hard-work and creativity while offering exposure to best-in-class execution of virtually every component and element of commercial real-estate development.Duties & Responsibilities:The Analyst provides financial reporting and analysis support related to growing investment portfolio of commercial and residential properties. The Analyst is responsible for assisting with the preparation and tracking of financial data; ad-hoc modeling; and developing content for use in internal and external presentations, investor reports, and company disclosure documents. Conducts all business in accordance with company policies and procedures.Analyst Job Functions: Create financial models to evaluate potential new development or investments opportunities. Models include project and portfolio level performance and structured finance Create financial models to evaluate property investment exit strategies with operating costs/revenue and income streams Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements Update financial models with actual data to evaluate investments Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent degree Minimum 2 years of business finance or other relevant experience Experience in real estate is preferred High proficiency in financial modeling techniques Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills Advanced MS Office (Word, Excel) skillsBase Comp: $75,000-$90,000 plus 10% bonus potential AND Full health insurance benefits, vacation, 401k+match, tuition reimbursement, and paid parking!
